Acorn International Church Mazarron meets on Camposol urbanisation
New church established in Camposol urbanisation for the Camposol community and the surrounding area.
The new Church on Camposol, Acorn International Church Mazarrón is a fellowship of Bible-believing, Spirit-filled Christians who have a passion to see people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. The church´s aim is to show God's love in our community here in Camposol and the surrounding area.
The church meets for a service of worship and the Word every Sunday morning at the Social Centre (also known as the Camposol Community Centre) Calle Jara on Camposol Sector B, starting at 10.30, and ending with refreshments and fellowship around 12.00 noon.
During the week, there are prayer meetings, Bible studies at different levels and training in ministries such as counselling and deliverance. Currently these meetings are in homes, with the possibility of joining us online if people are unable to come in person. Days and times to be confirmed.
Though it is a new church, many of the members have lived and served in the Mazarrón and Fuente Álamo areas for a number of years. The church come under the auspices of Acorn International Ministries, whose Spanish base is in Hondón de los Frailes, Alicante. This is a registered charity, ensuring that the ministry is covered by proper legal and social regulation.
Acorn International Church members are actively involved in serving the community in a variety of ways. One of these is the Camposol Community Shopping Bag, helping those going through diicult times with store cupboard basics to ensure they can feed their families. The Pastoral Care team reaches out to those who are lonely, sick, in hospital, in need of support or encouragement, and is also able to offer counselling in a safe, confidential environment.
During the 2024 summer holidays, the church held a weekly teenagers’ “meet and greet” at the Community Centre, where there were games, activities, refreshments and always a lot of fun! It was very popular with local young people (and their parents!) and it is hoped that soon the church will be able to offer this on a regular basis throughout the year, as well as during the school holidays.
The church will also be setting up a Healing Rooms ministry at the Camposol Social Centre in the new year, inviting those with any kind of health problem to come and receive prayer. With the belief in the power of God to heal the sick today, just as in the days when Jesus walked the earth.
