Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

A multi-use building for cultural and arts activities in the town of Mazarrón

Casa de Cultura or Centro Cultural, Mazarron

This is an impressive purpose-built structure located on the outskirts of Mazarrón in Calle Entierro de la Sardina, close to the municipal sports pavilion, and has a number of multi-use spaces as well as a library.

These include offices and rehearsal room, dressing room, cafeteria, music room, several classrooms for training and courses, toilets and storage rooms and the Salón de Actos (used for concerts and conferences) and has also been built to house the Biblioteca Municipal Gómez Jordán, the municipal library, providing  ten times as much space as the library previously occupied.

It also contains an exhibition space, offering a wide variety of cultural uses to ensure that all types of cultural activities can be enjoyed in comfortable and stylish surroundings.

The centre has a total surface area of 2,627 square metres, divided into basement, first and second floors, as well as external covered space.

The new building will also be the base for the Universidad Popular de Mazarrón, giving it a new modern and functional space in which to offer courses, conferences and workshops.
