Casa de la Cultura, Pilar de la Horadada
This hosts exhibitions and concerts
The Casa de la Cultura is in the centre of Pilar de la Horadada on Calle Carretillas, and although the building itself is fairly modest compared to the impressively modern Town Hall it is sufficiently spacious to combine a number of different areas and functions.
Apart from housing the town’s museum and lending library and hosting the book club, the building also includes a “Salón de Actos” (assembly hall cum auditorium). This plays host to a variety of events including conferences, talks, concerts, celebrations, courses, theatre and presentations. It can also be hired by private associations and clubs through the Town Hall or at the Casa de la Cultura itself.
Some courses are held in the “Juventud” centre on Calle Ramón y Cajal, just one minute on foot from the Casa de la Cultura.
In addition the Casa de la Cultura includes an exhibition room, where both the Town Hall and other groups or individuals can arrange displays.
