Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
March 12 to 22 Carnival 2025 in Los Alcazares
A series of celebrations leading up to the main Carnival Parade on March 22 in Los Alcázares
The main parade of the 2025 Carnival celebrations in Los Alcázares, on the shore of the Mar Menor, takes place on Saturday March 22 but in order to enable all ages and groups of the community to enjoy the vibrant colour, light and atmosphere of Carnival, the town council has once again scheduled various events in the 10 days prior to that date.
The schedule for the 2025 Carnival celebrations in Los Alcázares includes the following:
Wednesday March 12
16.00: A Carnival party for the third age at the Centro de Mayores ‘Adolfo López’, with music, churros and a costumed photocall.
Friday March 14
17.00 to 20.00: Children’s Carnival parade beginning in Avenida de la Constitución in Los Narejos, featuring music, popcorn, bouncy castles and candy floss as well as a photocall. All youngsters are invited to come along wearing their favourite costume.
Sunday March 16
10.30: Canine Carnival for dog owners and their pets, organized by the Patitas Unidas group in the Plaza del Espejo. Events include a canine parade and a doggy costume competition!
Saturday March 22
16.00: The grand Carnival parade begins in Carril de Las Palmeras with the participation of some 1.600 people belonging to 35 groups (8 more than in 2024!). The route follows Avenida de la Libertad to the Town Hall. Prizes for the best parade troupes will be awarded in Plaza Manuel Floreal Menárguez.
Information for residents and visitors in Los Alcázares and Los Narejos
