Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

March 8 International Women’s Day arts and crafts market in the heart of Los Alcázares
A host of activities to champion the role of women in Los Alcázares and all over the world
In order to celebrate International Women’s Day the Town Hall of Los Alcázares is holding an arts and crafts market and a variety of workshops and other activities on the Paseo de la Feria on Saturday 8th March.
Arguably the main attraction is the market, where local craftspeople and artists have a chance to showcase their talent and creativity, and the stalls open at 10.00 in the morning, followed by a reading of a manifesto for women’s rights at 12.00 midday.
The full programme is as follows:
10.00: Meditation with Nuria Navarro.
All day: Silk-screen printing with Laura Fresco.
11.30: Biometry workshop with Silvanele.
12.15: A talk on the importance of the pelvic floor with Blanca Olmo.
12.30: Story-telling with emphasis on the girls with Adela Turín and Nella Bosnia.
13.00: Biometry workshop with Silvanele.
15.00: The market stalls reopen for the afternoon.
16.00: A round table featuring women from Los Alcázares.
17.00: Live music from Las Chavalas.
17.40: Live music, “El Otro Paraíso”.
18.00: A 5-kilometre running race.
Sunday March 9
20.00: “Gamberras”, theatre at at the Town Hall, admission free of charge.
