Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc

Include all relevant points, including:

Who is the organisation running the event?

Where is it happening?

When?

How much does it cost?

Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

Property registry and tax information point in Mazarrón


The PIC office enables residents to access catastro information

The new service will remove the need for residents to travel Lorca, Murcia or Cartagena

The PIC office in Mazarrón opened on 3rd may 2013 and gives Mazarrón municipality its own  “Punto de Información Catastral” (PIC), or property registry and tax information point, which is located in the Property Registry Office in Calle Canalejas nº 3, opposite the Town Hall’s Urbanismo building.
The PICs are offices authorized by the land and property registry, or “Catastro”, in various public organizations and institutions, most of them Town Halls, where citizens can access different information regarding their catastro status and details.

The provision of this new service which will make it unnecessary for the residents of Mazarrón to travel to Lorca, Cartagena or Murcia when they want to find information regarding their properties.


The PIC in Mazarrón will offer a free consultancy service as well as electronic certification of non-protected catastro data and digital maps. There is also a consultancy and certification service regarding protected data for the owners of all properties, a “negative certification” service to show when individuals are not registered as owners and a service offering the opportunity to download official property registry notifications related to valuation and tax proceedings.
