The exhibition rooms “Los Postigos” are part of the Centro Municipal Los Postigos complex, which also houses the municipal tourist information office and the offices of the Concejalías of commerce, artisans and tourism.
This is located in the centre of the old town in calle Pensionista, the interior of the building housing a large section of the former Moorish wall which once surrounded the inner core of the Mediaeval town, standing several metres high in the centre of the complex.
It’s interesting to see the original height of the wall, as visitors to the MUDEM Mediaeval wall museum see only the lower foundations of what was once an impressive, fortified centre.
The Sala de Exposiciones, or exhibitions room, is laid out on two floors and is used as an exhibitions hall for principally local exhibitions, showing the works of local artists and artisans.
