The majestic Club Med 2 returns to Spanish shores this autumn
Celebrating 75 years of all-inclusive luxury with two unforgettable voyages along Spain’s coast and beyond
The majestic Club Med 2, the world’s largest sailing ship of its kind, returned to Spain this autumn with two spectacular voyages blending luxury, wellness, and adventure. Marking a special year, the 75th anniversary of Club Med’s pioneering all-inclusive concept that started in Mallorca in 1950, the ship’s visit was a highlight for sailing enthusiasts and luxury travellers alike.This impressive vessel accommodates 328 guests across 164 stylishly refurbished cabins, all inspired by the laid-back elegance of the French Riviera. Combining classic sailing with whisper-quiet electric propulsion, the ship quietly slips into ports many larger ships can’t reach.
Guests enjoy fine dining in two gourmet restaurants, unwind in a spa with exclusive Sothys treatments (a prestigious French skincare and spa brand known for luxurious and innovative facial and body therapies), stay active with yoga classes and a fully equipped gym, or dive into an array of water sports from the onboard marina.
Whether it’s sailing, water skiing, snorkeling, or wingsurfing, expert instructors are on hand to ensure everyone has a safe and thrilling time. The ship’s philosophy is to blend relaxation and activity seamlessly to create a balanced experience at sea.
The first cruise departed 18 October from Barcelona, visiting Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Alicante, Cartagena, Puerto Banús in Marbella, Gibraltar, and finishing in Málaga. The following voyage ran from 25 October to 1 November, sailing from Málaga to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands with stops in Ceuta, Cádiz, Tangier, Safi, Agadir, and Arrecife. These routes underline Málaga’s rising importance as a premier port for luxury cruising in Spain.
Prices for the Málaga to Las Palmas route started at €2,955 per person for a superior cabin on the Borneo deck. This all-inclusive package included continental breakfast served in-cabin, access to pools, yoga and gym sessions, beach towels, luggage transfer, and a non-alcoholic minibar. Spa treatments, massages, and guided shore excursions were optional extras, priced between €55 and €670 depending on their duration and type.
Offering an unrivalled blend of elegance, adventure, wellness, and cultural discovery along some of Spain’s most beautiful coasts and beyond, Club Med 2’s autumn voyages were a fitting celebration of 75 years of Club Med’s distinguished all-inclusive legacy.
