Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc

How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

Until October 20 Octopus and mackerel festival in Aguilas
A celebration of two of the typical gastronomic delights of southern Spain
A new gastronomic event is taking place in Águilas between October 11 and 20 in Águilas, celebrating the special tastes of octopus and mackerel as they are prepared in the Region of Murcia and Andalucía.
On offer to clients at local bars and restaurants are 17 tapas dishes as well as 10% discounts on cocktails at 6 bars and cafés (Muelle 12, Posada del Galeón, Bamboo, Cómic, La Taberna Mediática and Pasarela), the participating restaurants being Restaurante Ginés, Restaurante La Veleta, El Varadero, Tapería, Restaurante y Copas La Tercena, Restaurante Pecado Águilas, Restaurante Casa Don Gato, Restaurante Zoco del Mar, La Taberna Mediática, Restaurante El Tío del Puro, Costa Azul Playa, Arrocería La Gaviota, Restaurante la Chimenea and Restaurante El Tiburón. The festival ends with a professional jury deciding on the winning dish, a guided tour of the Puente del Hornillo and a concert by Los Ratones at 18.30 on Saturday October 19 in El Placetón.
In addition, a guided tour of the Hornillo loading jetty at 11.00 on 12th October is followed at 12.45 by a tasting of the culinary specialities at 12.45.
