Mazarron Murcia is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on Mazarron Murcia, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

October 31 Halloween in Alhama de Murcia!
Games, dancing, float parades and of course a little terror in the streets of Alhama on Friday
Spain now celebrates Halloween as if it had been a part of national tradition for centuries (it hasn’t) and Alhama de Murcia is no exception, with a wide range of activities being held by the Youth department of the Town Hall on Friday 31st October.
For infants and young children
An evening of gymkhanas, masks, fase-painting and balloons outside the Casa Amarilla in the Plaza de las Américas, from 17.00 to 21.00.
Inclusive party for youngsters
Aat the same time, from 17.00 to 21.00 in the Plaza de las Américas, an evening of team contests, a disco, neon make-up and prizes for the best costumes.
Pumpkin workshop
At the Patio de La Guarida starting at 17.00.
Dance performances
The Alhanza dance school offers three shows in the Plaza de las Américas at 19.00, 19.30 and 20.00.
Terror floats in the streets, created by three party groups.
Photocall
The El Cocotazo group are decorating the main doorway of the Casa Amarilla so that people can have their pictures taken in the electric chair and against other horror backdrops.
Cinema and Escape Room
The film Black Phone 2 is being shown at the Cine Velasco on 31st October at 20.00 and on 1st and 2nd November at 20.15.
The escape room at the Casa de la Cultura is called “El hechizo de la casa encantada” and admission is from 19.00 to 23.45. Prior registration is required via the QR code alongside. Admission 3 euros.
Survival-O Alhama Coym
A new activity this year, a night orientation event full of surprises, taking place throughout the municipality on 31st October. Competitors must enter in teams of 3 or 4 people and all “survivors” will receive a special prize.
The game is open to anyone over 12, or over 9 if accompanied by an adult.
Registration is via the QR code on the poster.
Gran Fiesta de Halloween
Finally, at the Espacio Joven centre in Calle Estación there is a grand Halloween party with music, a bar and a safe environment in which to enjoy the evening.

Alhama de Murcia Tourist information office is located on the edge of the Plaza de la Constitución, just a few metres away from the underground car park and the Town hall of Alhama de Murcia.
The tourist office offers free guided audiotours in English which take visitors around the historical sites of interest in Alhama. These be loaned at any time, although allow an hour and a half to complete the tour, and when loaning the audio equipment visitors are asked to leave passports or ID cards with the tourist office.
The office also carries a full range of leaflets for the archaeological museum of Los Baños, which is built around the historic spa which gives Alhama its name, and the mountains of Sierra Espuña, which is also an important area within the municipality of Alhama. Areas such as El Berro and Gebas have a number of interesting routes which can be followed and there are several picnic areas and good walking routes within the Sierra Espuña natural park.
The tourist office also carries leaflets for the many cultural events and fiestas which take place in Alhama throughout the year, including Los Mayos, Semana Santa, Christmas,the Romería of La Candelaria and the Auto de los Reyes Magos in El Berro.
